I would like to see the IP address next to the DNS column in WhosOn. This would help us tremendously with internal web applications because we can see what office a user is in based on by looking at their IP's subnet. I know we can turn off DNS resolution on the WhosOn Server options and it would give the IP but then we would loose the ability to see the workstation's name so we cannot do this. We really need a seperate column for IP. It would also help with external web applications when WhosOn sends an automated message for let's say an error 500 and gives us the IP of the user only. Right now we are having to "guess" which user it could be and then verify by clicking on the user and waiting for the Visit Details to appear so we can see the IP address. This is extremely tedious and does not work for us with 1000's of users per application. We would gladly upgrade to the new version if this feature is added. We also want to buy additional licenses for our users but management wants to see quick IP visibility and that is the only reason why we have not embraced WhosOn completely in our organization yet. Thank you. |

Hi,
We would need to make it an option since most users wouldnt want the DNS and IP address together.
We will add it to the list of pending client updates for the next update. We cannot give an exact date for this. If you would like it done quickly we can create a custom version of the client for you - please contact us for details & pricing.
