I noticed my SMS alerts were not going out... ran a test from the SMS Account Manager and never got the text. I have plenty of credits (900+), so it would appear that the gateway is not functioning (on the output side).

Hi,
I've just tested it and can see no problems. Did the Account Manager give an error? Or did it say the message was sent?
If you can email support with the number you are sending to we can run a test from here.
Many Thanks
Steve

It says "Message Sent."
I mailed you the number I am sending to.

Come on guys, this has not been working in at least 4 days and I haven't heard back -- I have two entirely different systems that both send using the SMS gateway; neither system's configuration has changed and neither one works now. I get "Message Sent" from the test -- I can't see how there could be any more for me to do if you are getting 200 OK from the near side of the gateway.

I also note that it is not debiting my credits, even though the messages are put in the Messages Sent tab. They read "Status 0 Credits 0" and DeliveredOn is blank.

I've checked into this. There is an issue with the SMS provider on some US networks. We are working to resolve this now.

Any news? Still failing. I need to get these texts -- from WhosOn and from my SNMP monitors....

We're going on a week of downtime now with no fix or ETA? It seems like it is time to stop offering SMS gateway services to US customers (and give us a refund). We just can't be out of touch like this; SMS is a crucial part of our monitoring setup. |

So the hosted SMS service is not considered worthy of keeping running/fixing? Can I have my money back, please? This is really disappointing, in particular the lack of updates. I can accept unexpected downtime when there is feedback. To not give feedback for days is shoddy business.

Hi, You should have received feedback via the support desk directly. This forum is a user-user forum not for customer specific support tickets.
We have resolve the SMS sending issue by adding a new SMS provider to our web services. The previous provider has had issues relating to some US networks blocking their short codes. It was out of our control - however this is not an excuse on our part.
