Are you attempting to use the HTTPS ON option of the WhosOn App's settings? And if so have you enabled the bindingconfiguration = "PubSubSecure" ?
If you plan on using the iPhone client without SSL on the site that runs the service then please make sure you turn HTTPS OFF.

Yep, HTTPS is off on the phone client. I get the loading screen, and then it seems to connect, when it goes to acutally display/pull information i get the connection Error, unsupported Media type.

Did a little more web config editing, and changes, got it working... Still kind of a strange app. Doesn't give you a display on the screen, just a beet to let you know you have a new chat if the iphone is locked.

The iPhone app displays a real time list of active visitors on your site.. along with real time view of active chats.. If its not doing this then its still not set up correctly.
Following the instructions in the help should be all that is required on a standard IIS install - so I suspect something else is going on here. Best option is to contact our support desk directly. Steve

Its not an issue with the setup. The display works fine. The problem is more in how the app itself works. When the Iphone goes to the lock screen, you only get an audio message on a new chat. You don't get a prompt on the screen until you "slide the unlock bar". It would be nice to have a push notification come up on the unlock screen like Facebook, MMS, etc. Also, if you go into another app on the phone, you are automatically log out as away on who's on. I would think the multitasking feature would allow this to run in the background like Pandora, etc.. If you want to check your email and stay on who's on, it is impossible.
I also checked, in the settings function for this app, there isn't any settings this will affect this. Just a suggestion on how to improve the app. I'm an avid Iphone user, and multitasking has been a great enhacement to the Iphone.
