Hello everyone,

Please be aware that the JavaScript tracking code for installable customers using WhosOn version 5.2.796 and below has an expiry date of 2010-12-31 00:00:00.  This can be altered manually for now as a solution to the problem but we will be issuing a solution within the next service pack due later this month (January 2011).

The main issue you will be experiencing is that visit sessions are no longer clearing correctly once a visitor has left and there will not be a username value within the Current Visitors view.

Solution

Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Program Files\WhosOnV5\JavaScript and edit the file named Tracking.js in Notepad. Look for the following line:

expires=Fri, 31-Dec-2010 00:00:00 GMT;";}

Replace this line with:

expires=Thu, 31-Dec-2020 00:00:00 GMT;";}

Then save the changes.

Once you have updated this file go into the WhosOn Administrator and then Service (Running) and stop and start just the WhosOn Gateway service. This will fix the issue.

This has already been resolved for our future release of WhosOn 2011.

Best Regards,
