    Posted: 31 Jul 2014 at 4:06am
Hi,
I am trying to save attachements to my DB and am almost successful except for the fact that the filename saved includes the fullpath.
How can I save only the name of the file without the path using the action trigger?

Thanks for your help,
Regards,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

Are you using the save attachments to a database action?

Where are you seeing the full file path and what is it?

Which file types is this and what data type are you saving it to on the database?

Hi Mitchell,
Thanks for getting back to me.
To answer your questions:
Yes I am using the "Save Attachements to a database action"
I am seeing the full path in my DB once it has been saved.
The path looks like this: "C:\ProgramData\Parker Software\Email2DB\Sanef ITS BC\Temp\b062e20f-bca0-4425-9296-4363426bf745.pdf"
Right now I am testing with pdf but will extend it to many types of file.

My only problem is that I would like for it to save the file name like: "b062e20f-bca0-4425-9296-4363426bf745.pdf"
instead of with the full path.

Please let me know if need anymore input from me,
Thank you,
Regards,
Jeremy

Hi,

It may be wise to consider using a script for this process instead of the built in action. This will offer you further control over the process and the filename is also treated as you require within the sample script found here - http://www.parker-software.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=7069
