Hi,

We use thinkautomation and we connect to office 365. In October 2020 Microsoft will decommission basic authentication. I am wondering if Thinkautomation supports modern authentication?

here is the link on the Microsoft website.

Thank you.

Beau

Hello Beau,

We are aware of this future change to O365 authentication and are working to implement changes to our software before the deadline.

Regards,
Paul

I am interested in the same thing; will ThinkAutomation start using oAuth2 to authenticate or some other mechanism?

Hello

ThinkAutomation have already implemented a "Beta" OAuth for Office 365. For more information see: https://www.thinkautomation.com/help/via_email_from_exchange_ews.htm?zoom_highlightsub=365

Hi,

Is this feature out of beta now and is supported?

Also I am wondering is when you enter the username and password and it will ask for a code. Will you be prompted for a new code after the set amount of time that a device is trusted? We currently have 90 days and it will re prompt for a code.

Thank you.

Beau

Hi Beau

This functionality isn't out of beta in ThinkAutomation V4.

But it would not prompt you if the authentication details set up in ThinkAutomation became invalid, for whatever reason.
